About Ms. Bailey
Welcome to 2nd Grade!!!
My name is Ms. Bailey and I have been teaching 2nd grade for 11 years! I am from Atlanta Ga and moved to St. Simons about 6 years ago and Love it! I have an 11 year old son who attended Oglethorpe ES and will be beginning 6th grade Middle School at GMS this year! I attended Kennesaw State University where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and also completed coursework to receive a Reading Endorsement Certificate.
Fun Fact about me is that I have always been very athletic and played almost every sport you can think of. I spent most of my life involved in competitive Cheer/Gymnastics. I cheered and also coached at the collegiate level and ended up competing through college at KSU and winning a Team National Championship in 2004!
I value teamwork and individual respect for everyone and I incorporate these values into my classroom daily by teaching the children to work together and respect each other.
