Oglethorpe Point Elementary aligns its daily work with the high standards of our school district. We view student learning as our primary responsibility, and as a unified team of educators, parents, and community members, we are dedicated to helping our Ospreys spread their wings, achieve their full potential, and prepare for future workforce success.

Principal’s Message

Hello!  My name is Beth Cox, Principal at Oglethorpe Point Elementary. I am passionate about creating a safe and empowering environment where students feel encouraged to explore and try new things. OPE strives to make learning engaging and spark curiosity in every child. I am blessed to lead a dedicated staff and work alongside supportive families in a vibrant community committed to excellence. This year our Ospreys are on the Platinum Path, soaring toward excellence!

  • Our elementary school day begins at 7:50 a.m. and ends at 2:20 p.m., with after-school programs available for families needing extended care.

  • Registration is straightforward and can be done online or in person at the school office. Required documents include proof of residence, birth certificate, and immunization records.

  • We welcome family involvement! Parents can volunteer in classrooms, join the PTA, participate in family nights, or attend school events. Your involvement strengthens our school community and supports your child's learning experience.
