Our PTA is dedicated to supporting our students, teachers and school community through events, classroom resources, family engagement activities, teacher appreciation efforts and other initiatives that enrich the educational experience for every child. Did you know our PTA provides funding for the Marsh Lab, AR Store & Café, classroom supplies, Teacher Appreciation Week, 5th Grade Graduation and more? Your PTA membership helps make these opportunities possible. Membership dues provide funding for important programs and demonstrate strong community support for our school.
Joining the PTA does not require volunteering or attending meetings (though we would love to have you!) - your membership alone makes a meaningful difference. Every parent, guardian, grandparent and family member is welcome to join!
All PTA members will receive a car magnet, digital copy of the PTA Parent Handbook, and our monthly e-newsletter with important dates, volunteer opportunities, etc. OPE PTA membership also includes membership and dues to the Georgia and National PTA.

PTA Meetings |

The PTA Executive Committee meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:50am. We typically meet in the Beta Lab, but that is subject to change. Active PTA members are welcome to attend these meetings. The floor will be open for parent comment at the beginning of the meeting. Anything needing discussion should be submitted to PTA President Kaiti Carpenter at least 48 hours in advance to be added to the meeting agenda.
There will also be at least 3 General PTA meetings held throughout the year. These are typically for the purpose of getting necessary approvals from the general membership and sharing any pertinent updates. These will be announced via the newsletter and Parent Square.
