About Me:
Hello! My name is Jennifer Hutcherson and I am thrilled to serve as one of the Assistant Principals at Oglethorpe Point Elementary. My teaching career began in 2010 in Athens, GA. While in Athens, I taught first and second grade. In 2016, my husband and I relocated to Saint Simons Island. I joined the Oglethorpe Point Elementary staff in August of 2016, teaching third grade. I enjoyed teaching third grade, in person and a year of virtual, for five years and in 2021 I became the Instructional Coach at Oglethorpe Point Elementary. This year, I am excited to help lead this wonderful school as Assistant Principal.
My husband and I have a daughter, Winnie, who was born February 2017! We love spending time as a family and spend most of our weekends outside exploring! In my free time I enjoy traveling, taking walks on the beach, bike riding, shopping, and cooking.
I look forward to a year full of creative and critical thinking!
