Learning Target: Students will learn about the artist Georgia O’keeffe and her artwork

Success Criteria: (I know I’ll have it when…)  I can describe O'keeffe's artwork using art terms and the elements of art (color,line,form,texture ,shape, value,space)

Introduction/Connection:  Ask students-  show students pictures of O'keeffe's artwork ,some of which are on the art room wall and point out the elements of art

DIRECT INSTRUCTION: (steps teacher will do to demo/guide them in how they will create picture)

Students will watch youtube on O’keefe

 *any resources from home and media center

Students learning by doing/demonstrating learning expectations.  Describe the instructional process that will be used to engage the students in the work period.

 

GUIDED PRACTICE:

*Using the elmo the teacher will demo a guided drawing with the class in the style of O'keeffe flowers

*Books from OPE library are on each table

Students can help others at their table who need assistance and they may use a tracer
