DIRECT INSTRUCTION: (steps teacher will do to demo/guide them in how they will create picture using the elmo,smartboard and showing a youtube *any resources from home and media center Work Period (We Do, You Do) Students learning by doing/demonstrating learning expectations. Describe the instructional process that will be used to engage the students in the work period. GUIDED PRACTICE: Each student will create a border around a 12x18 white paper using a sharpie and ruler They will write if I could fly anywhere I would fly to… They will draw themselves flying like Ringgold in the book Tarbeach Markers and crayons can be used to color the picture INDEPENDENT/COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE/DIFFERENTIATION: Students help others at their table with rulers *Books from OPE library are on each table *any resources from home Closing (We Check) Describe the instructional process that will be used to close the lesson and check for student understanding.
